Wildlife at West Lake

The wildflower planting throughout West Lake supports a host of insects and butterflies. Our honey bees (apis mellifera) enjoy the many patches of the tiny plant Birdsfoot Trefoil which flowers through summer.

Damsel flies love the area around the small lake they will pose for photos where you can sit in total peace
