Quality Self catering accommodation for two

Quality self-catering accommodation ideally situated between moors and coast Devon.
Orchard Keeper's Cottage is a tastefully reconstructed self-catering cottage ideal for two. Situated off the beaten track on West Lake organic farm famous for its award winning West Lake apple juices. Enjoy panoramic views over the tranquil Devon countryside and a welcome basket on arrival of all our products to include juice, cider, honey and daily eggs from our rare breed poulty.  West Lake Farm offers a self-catering holiday accommodation twix moors and sea with birdsong the only noise.  May 2008 the cottage was awarded 5 stars  from Quality in Tourism.

A spacious open plan design with fully fitted kitchen, dining and lounge area as ground floor. Modern wet room with underfloor heating throughout.  An oak staircase leads to the large mezzanine with Kingsize bed for ultimate comfort and pure cotton linen. High roof beams and open rafters give this area the 'wow' factor. A large patio window then opens onto a spacious balcony offering 180 degree views over Devon's unspoilt land where you can sit, dine or watch the night sky. A powerful telescope is available for budding Patrick Moores.
There are 13 acres to explore with two large ponds with sitting areas.  Wildflowers are in abundance. Last year West Lake gained a 'Gold Award' from the Devon Wildlife Trust for demonstrating that the farm is working for the benefit of Devon's wildlife.  Our culm grasslands are part of a 'Potential County Wildlife Site' forming an area of significant wildlife interest.  This year we have continued wildflower planting and developed a Farm Wildlife trail with interpretation sheets to guide you through the varied habitats and help you enjoy your stay.  Picnic by your own private lake in seclusion.
